Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Beverage Equipment Service Technician to join our team and provide maintenance, repair, and installation services for commercial beverage equipment in various establishments. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical troubleshooting abilities, mechanical expertise, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, and calibrate new commercial beverage equipment such as coffee machines, soda dispensers, ice makers, water filtration systems, and frozen beverage equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is functioning according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in a variety of beverage equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on commercial beverage equipment to minimize breakdowns and extend the lifespan of the equipment.
  • Replace or repair malfunctioning components, including pumps, motors, thermostats, and other equipment parts.
  • Interact directly with customers to identify issues, explain repair processes, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Provide recommendations for equipment upgrades, repairs, or improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent.
  • Ensure timely submission of service reports and any related documentation to management.
  • Maintain and manage inventory of tools, parts, and equipment needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Place orders for necessary replacement parts in accordance with company procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while performing repairs and installations.
  • Stay informed of relevant safety codes, industry standards, and legal regulations to ensure compliance in all service operations.
  • Continuously improve technical knowledge by attending workshops, training sessions, and staying up to date with the latest trends in commercial beverage equipment.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical certifications in electronics, refrigeration, or appliance repair preferred.
  •  At least 3-5 years of experience working with commercial beverage equipment or related mechanical/electrical systems. Proven experience as a service technician, preferably in the food service or beverage industry. 
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as they relate to beverage equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Experience working with equipment such as coffee makers, espresso machines, soda fountains, ice machines, water filtration systems, etc.
  • Ability to work independently manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record as outlined with our company policy.
  • Must be able to pass a satisfactory background and drug screening. 
  • Computer skills including Microsoft office. 
  • Knowledgeable about all safety requirements. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a customer-facing role or previous customer service experience
  • EPA certification (for refrigeration systems).
  • Certification from relevant manufacturers of commercial beverage equipment is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 to 75 pounds; frequently lift and or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and heavy lift equipment
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods and climb up and down ladders
  • Extensive daily travel to work site locations
  • Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment
