We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Surgical Terminal Cleaning Technician to join our team in Valdosta, Georgia.

Job Overview

The Surgical Terminal Cleaning Technician will be responsible for performing detailed terminal cleaning within a surgical healthcare setting. This position requires a strong commitment to cleanliness, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently follow established cleaning, sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures.

Because this work is performed in a surgical environment, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and following facility-specific procedures are essential responsibilities of the position.

Schedule

This position will work approximately 20 hours per week, primarily on:

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday

Candidates must have reliable availability on all three scheduled days.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed terminal cleaning of designated surgical and clinical areas
  • Clean and disinfect floors, walls, fixtures, furniture, and designated equipment surfaces
  • Thoroughly clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain flooring throughout assigned areas
  • Remove trash and waste in accordance with facility procedures
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and other designated areas
  • Use facility-approved cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment
  • Follow established infection-control, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Restock cleaning and facility supplies as necessary
  • Complete required cleaning checklists and documentation
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a clean and organized manner
  • Immediately report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to management
  • Follow all Kemco and customer-site policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in healthcare environmental services (EVS), hospital cleaning, surgical center cleaning, or commercial janitorial services is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned duties within established timeframes
  • Comfortable working within a healthcare and surgical environment
  • Ability to perform routine physical duties associated with commercial cleaning
  • Reliable transportation to and from the Valdosta work location
